Ensuring the safety of chemotherapy prescribing remains a critical priority for healthcare institutions and professionals. While integrated computerized order entry systems embedded within electronic health records (EHRs) have demonstrated potential in improving both safety and efficiency, many institutions face significant barriers to implementation. These challenges often stem from limited financial resources, technological constraints, and insufficient administrative support, resulting in continued reliance on manual handwritten chemotherapy prescriptions.

To address this gap in safe chemotherapy prescribing practices, ChemoPalRx was developed as a pragmatic solution for institutions lacking comprehensive EHR-based order entry systems. ChemoPalRx is a mobile platform designed for practitioners to assist with chemotherapy prescription and reference needs. It features over 120 predefined chemotherapy templates and a library comprising more than 450 chemotherapy medications, enabling clinicians to accurately and efficiently generate standardized prescription documents in PDF format.

The deployment of this free mobile application offers the potential to standardize chemotherapy prescribing procedures across diverse healthcare settings, with the overarching goal of positively influencing patient outcomes on a global scale.
